10 hr stretches of painting, day after day, is starting to wear on me. Someone once mentioned Wellfleet artist, Selina Trieff (she shows @ Berta Walker gallery http://www.bertawalker.com/artists/trieff-s/), as saying something like, ‘whenever I need to relax I paint a chicken and feel better.’ I had to take a step back and paint some flowers, my version of Trieff’s chicken, in watercolor, to indulge in some contemplative decompression. Also it’s peonie season so how could I not?
I have been on all fours for over a month now. Something about the recent paintings I’ve been working on, they don’t want me more than a foot away. I need to see my breath on them. My wrists hurt.
ANNA MOLLER ANNA MOLLER ANNA MOLLER.
Anna Moller is an amazing photographer & friend and we’ve been entwined in an art exchange for a few years now. She came by my studio & took a few snap shots (and to cash-in on some artwork, I’ve been in arrears for over a year now I think…).
Anna is beautiful inside and out. I always say her photos are a “discovery within a discovery.”
